On the basis of a comparative study of some women rock musician from Chile, this article presents a critical reflection about the roles cast on women within the predominantly male rock circuits in Chile. Besides, an analysis is presented of the relationships of these roles with performances and musical attributes pertaining to other symbolic paradigms.
